Title: Impulse Zone layout questions...punching one out today.
Post by: 230-n-up-or-bust on January 18, 2005, 01:50:57 PM
Just received my Impulse Zone.

I'm gonna throw some holes in her today.  Now, need a little bit of reassurance that I'm making the correct drilling decision.

I've had a fair amount of success with 5x4 and 4x4 drillings.  How do they differ on a Brunswick ball?  I'm looking for a very even, hard arcing reaction on the back or out to the cushion.  Nothing skid/flippy.  Simple a smooth rolling entry from board five at 45-48 feet.  I've just spent a few moments with the drilling sheet that's provided with the ball and the drillings seem pretty generic.  However, I was just working with glue and maybe there's a few less brain cells working than there were a few hours ago.

Thanks for all of your suggestions.  My ball, span, axis, and typical lane conditions are in my profile.

Just keep in mind that the cg is the least important part of that ball, unless of course you have a really high top weight. Get the pin where you've found success (4-5" from pap) and tune the ball with the PSA.

ttt

one hour and counting.

per Little Nicky's request, I'm probably gonna use something like I've had success with in the past.  A 4x4 or 5x4 type of layout.  Is the PSA on a Big B ball similar to the RAD locator on a Storm?

That might be.

However, when you're +90 outta the gates, 746 seems like a failure.

That's not what Brunswick nation is all about.
