Title: Inferno Blue Flame

2.479 RG
0.050 Differential
Relativity Hybrid Coverstock
500 / 2000 / 4000 Siaair Box Finish

Another limited released from Brunswick only available in 15 pounds, similar to the Danger Zone Black Ice. Interesting that they went with a proven Relativity coverstock instead of a "new" Activator 2.0 hybrid variant. Brunswick now also has a special edition category on their website so I would expect more releases along these lines in the future.

On another note it appears as if the Absolute Nirvana, Mastermind Strategy, and Fanatic have been retired. Not sure if that's recent news or not though. Regardless, the only asymmetric Brunswick has in the lineup now is the True Nirvana. Interesting decision by them... but that makes sense considering DV8's product line.

I would get the Blue Flame over the Vintage. I'm a fan of the relativity cover

Which balls had Relativity? Was it just the Mastermind Einstein?

Which balls had Relativity? Was it just the Mastermind Einstein?

Out of the current/upcoming lineup the Inferno Blue Flame, Edge, Edge Pearl, Fanatic SS, and Magnitude 035 have Relativity coverstock variants. Then for the retired balls the Mastermind Strategy, Mastermind Einstein, Mastermind Brainiac, Melee Hook, and Fanatic had Relativity coverstock variants.

So quite a few. I didn't realize just how many actually did until I looked it up. The only ball I've had with a Relativity coverstock is the Mastermind Einstein and I really like it. It's more of a medium condition ball for me but that's fine, I have other options to go on top of it. Doesn't start grabbing too early and has nice power off the end.

I just saw this ball on one of the internet seller's web sites.
It's a hybrid and it comes 4000 grit dull. That makes it seem like they intend it to be a complement to the Inferno remake, which is a (semi-)polished pearl.

It was released overseas in Sept 2016.

I'm guessing excess stock or something similar may have lead to this being available in the U.S.

That explains why I came across one at my pro shop a few of months back.

Seems kinds odd with the regular Inferno just releasing to add another to it. They did it last year with the Black Ice.

It's part of a promotion on the new Inferno I believe. Wish more brands overseas stuff was made available here like the Ebonite brands have done.
