current and past equipment
« on: November 04, 2003, 11:34:45 AM »
Brunswick is really making some great stuff these days.  I bought my wife a smash/r a year ago and it is still going strong.  I have the HPD, Brimstone Monster, 2 hph's and the original DZ.  I think they are making the best equipment on the market.  Ebonite/Hammer is making a good stuff too, but after a couple of bad experiences with them I am hesitant to buy from them.  I have thrown quite a few Big B's in the past including the Rhino series and many of the Zones (speed demon, sapphire).  The best thing about them right now is they aren't releasing 1 ball a week like Track or Columbia.  It seems to me that they are actually spending a significant amount of time in research and development to make a quality product.  The last big flop I remember was the Fuze Navy Sparkle, not many people liked that one.  I am considering the Slay/r or the inferno.  I don't have any holes in my arsenal right now so the need for something new isn't present but still very tempting.  I hope they keep it up.

Andrew

PS Their tech support is phenomenal, tom tomaras would talk bowling for days if you had the time!!!

as i've stated before this is THE time to be using brunswick equipment. they have never made better equipment than they are right now. parker bohn III and chris barnes both told me brunswicks stuff has never been better. quality control is of a very high order since some of the dead wood in management is gone. tom tomaras and rick benoit will bend over backwards to help you with technical advice you may have. i've tried to convince bowlers i know about buying brunswick but they stick with brand "x".......and shoot lower scores and lose. oh, well ! here's hoping their future equipment is even better !
