Introducing.........The Backdraft (and possibly Zenith)
« on: January 24, 2005, 11:30:12 AM »
How many of you would like to try out a fire quantum core, wrapped in the original activator cover?  WOuldn't that be sweet?  Bob7 and i think so, and we need 998 other orders to make it happen.  Brunswick will remake any core with any cover for an order of 1000.  We think this would be an awesome ball to try, but we have to place an order of 1000 balls, so it's obvious we'll need help.  Ask people you bowl with if they'd be interested, i think this could be the best ball ever.

We were thinking of calling it the Backdraft.

EDIT:  Bobmatt and i have come up with a second ball to compliment it, the Zenith.  It will have the core of an ultimate inferno, but a solid pk18 coverstock.  Specs right now are:

Backdraft
Fire quantum core- low rg, .032 differential (low)
Original activator pearl coverstock
Black, with bright green pearl

Zenith
Ultimate inferno core- 2.513 RG, .05 differential
Solid Powerkoil 18 coverstock
Black and old hammer pink seems to be the choice

WE will make the backdraft first and if it works out, we'll make the zenith.

Thanks  rotofan.....I think that symbol is the Tai Chi or something like that...it's always black and white if I recall. I just thought it would be wild seeing a bright colored ball look like it was flipping while traveling down the lane.

Probably a stupid question but would you be able to
use a backdraft in leagues?  If so I'd like one.

Uh, low RG would flip less than higher rg.  If you want the skid snappiest ball, you'd want something like pk17 pearl with a higher RG, high diff core.

If it does come along (and it sounds like it just might), put me down for one backdraft (longer pin of course). If it really truly does happen, I will talk to Scott and see if we can do a deal and order like 10 of them for the shop....who knows.

Put me down for one but I think we need a smaller more rounder core for more HOLD on the lane and a better roll!  I hate balls that sKid to far to the right before they try to roll up and then hook.

Any one can message me if they can tell me how to keep the ball from doing this with BRUNSWICK.

If it's a Quantum core with Activator coverstock, why not call it Quacktivator?

..OK, OK, I know I'm not helping...

How about a color like the Smart Zone 1, it's white and pink pearl. Awesome Looking ball.

PS Brunswick is the only company that would seriously consider an idea from 2 kids. How great is that!

Brunswick 04-06

I agree, the SZ1 is a great looking ball.  If we can get this going, I will take a "backdraft".

Just a thought.............if you are going to have a ball made, why not just call it the DI, we know Bwick is never going to release one????
