Guess the Kingpin and Pitbull Bite didn't hook enough? Wonder where the upcoming Max, and Katana Slash will fit in...guess I'll wait until league season ends in a couple of months before deciding on what to drill up or stash next.

It's not that, they're gonna jump balls out whether they're needed or not, whether they're in clearance at e tailers for years or not, etc. It what they do lol

Yeah. This. I like the stuff Big B rolls out of their factories, but I'm not sure about their decisions on when/what to make. Just seems kind of odd at times. Especially with the high-end stuff. There's value to be had in being different than the rest of the market, but at the same time you want to have stuff that's actually significantly different than what you just produced with the last ball...

I will say that the Kingpin Max is a different look on the lane than the original Kingpin.  My Max is about 3-4 stronger than the original, but it has more backend.  My original Kingpin is great for me when I need something that will hook early and be smooth, where the new Max will not fill that spot.

Not sure that's the right description. Just odd.

If it is a different look than the original Kingpin then great... but I don't think the masses will believe it. Most are pretty sure in their thinking of the Solid - Hybrid - Pearl reaction differences. I know that's not actually the case, at least in some situations, but I doubt many will be enticed to buy another strong, surfaced solid if they already had the first one.

Just odd.

Seems like a lazy cop out release.

Their marketing team isn't very good right now...wonder why.  Maybe they said the balls will speak for themselves....

I've punched a few storms, that were sworn to be the next generation of awesome releases and they were terrible!!!

I've had time to throw both the Kingpin and the Max on a variety of different patterns and they offer 2 entirely different shapes that compliment each other.

The og Kingpin is strong in the mids but changes direction down the lane as well as any asym solid I've seen.  I like this ball best when cheating left and opening up the lanes when the oil is medium/heavy.

The Max tractions the moment it hits the lane.  This tank is ideal for heavy sport patterns and is much earlier/rollier than the original in my hands.
