I am a 70 year old bowler who used to average in the high 190s (now in the 170s) but, due to aging and multiple health problems, I am switching to 14lb. equipment in the hope of generating a little more speed. I just purchased a Damage (14lb.) and am looking for a layout to match my game. My speed is between 14-15 mph. Medium revs (mostly late) and high track. I have a 14lb. Tropical Storm which I have drilled to go long and finish strong (pin above bridge). Looking to layout the Damage to give me a different look. Any suggestions?

P.S. Last time I measured PAP was 4.5 over .5 up and I am right handed.

What exactly are you looking for in terms of a reaction? Something to complement or contrast the Trop?

Contrast.

I'd go pin down, and maybe 4" from PAP. This should give you some contrast. Tweak the surface later if needed for even more contrast. By this I mean just barely knock some gloss off the cover.
I have 2 of them. One is about 2000 and Rico, while the other is pin above and shiny. These 2 contrast each other quite a lot. Good luck. I think the Damage is another great ball from Big B.

A layout along the lines of what Lane suggested should do the trick. For someone with your ball speed and rev rate a larger angle sum dual angle layout should provide contrast to the Slingshot. I would suggest a 70x4.5x65 with no hole in the beginning so you could use a weigh hole should you need to tweak the ball reaction further than a surface change would allow. Good luck and do some Damage!

Thanks for all the input. Getting it drilled today will use your input along with the recommendations of my pro shop guy to get what hopefully will give me some contasting reaction.
