Absolute Polished?
« on: March 05, 2005, 10:47:08 PM »
Hello,
Has anyone polished their Absolute yet, say 1000? Nothing marble like. If so, I was just wondering how you liked it and if the ball became squirty when polished. I love the strong yet controllable move this ball makes on the backend, even with some carrydown. I didn't want to lose that and have a snappy, less versatile Absolute by doing so.

Thanks for any input.

i am a lefty and lastnight in league play my absolute was hooking real hard on the backends, alot of brooklyns. so i put it in the ball polisher for two minutes and it bought it back where it was slamming the pocket. i set up about 12 and release at 7. hope this helps.

I hope thats not a sanctioned league as any surface adjustment is illegal once you have started bowling for that night. So if you were bowling with your absolute during actual league and then polished it thats illegal according to the ABC unless they changed the rule.

Lustre-Clean and similar machines are perfectly acceptable during league play.

"The use of approved cleaning agents such as isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and polishing machines is permissible."ABC Rule 18.

It's a matte surface according to the description of the ball.
