polished scorchin?

i dont like the way my scorchin reacts on heavy oil. does anyone know of any ways to polish is so it can be used on lighter oil? i was thinking sanding it to 1,000 or 1,500 grit sandpaper, then polishing it.

i went with 600 grit plus a coat of factory finish, and the ball was 100x better.. on a fresh ths i can still play around 15 with it so it still handles a decent amount of oil.. just my experience with the surface and polish
