Ultra Zone not a big hooker, but
« on: July 23, 2008, 10:48:25 AM »
The carry is tremendous.  My Black Raspberry was going Brooklyn so I pulled out th Ultra Zone and crushed the pocket. I played a couple of games with the Ultra Zone and the control was outstanding.  Usually with a ball with this much control, I have a problem kicking out the 10 pin.  Not with the Ultra Zone.  It kicked out the 10 pin better then any ball I have thrown to date.  I was pleasntly surprised. The Ultra Zone is drilled with the pin under the ring finger and the CG kicked right about an inch. I'll try it in league and see if I have the same success.

Hmm, a large increase in the ability to carry the tenpin despite a 20% decrease in carry that he could be throwing with another company's ball.

 Interesting.

Ultra is good stuff.

Now DP3, thats not a hit on Lane 1 is it?  The Ultra Zone seems to be a good control ball with great 10 pin carry, something I couldn't find except maybe with the THS in the Lane 1 line up.  I will compare them tomorrow, but after watching the Ultra Zone today, I think it might push the THS out of the bag.  But still, the Ultra Zone doesn't open up the lanes like the Black Raspberry will (another great Brunswick coverstock).
