Ball Help Wanted
« on: December 29, 2006, 02:01:00 PM »
This is my current arsenal:

Absolute Inferno
Original Inferno
Blazing Inferno
Monster SlayR
Target Zone

I am looking for something to use with heavier oil and would go above my AI. Here are the 3 options I am considering. Scorchin Inferno, Ultimate Inferno or a Raging Inferno. All are NIB.

I am also wanting to get rid of my OI as it overlaps with my AI too much. This would leave a gap between the AI and Blazing. Any suggestions for that spot? Really prefer Big B balls.

Thanks,
CaptZap

I'd get the Scorchin and replace the OI with an Ambush.

Would the Ambush be less than the AI but more than the BI? I have only see one area bowler using the Ambush and she is a senior and does not have much speed or revs. I need the ball that replaces the OI to handle the carry down found on the 2nd shift leagues.

Thanks, CaptZap

Depends on the drilling of course, but yes it could easily fit there.

I have an Ambush that is stronger than my Absolute Inferno, but as REVjoe says it is drilling.  In my case we drilled Ambush with pin below ring to handle some oil and carrydown and Absolute to go longer with pin above ring. I could polish Ambush and make it more of a second shift ball.  I can also play further inside with it to find oil, or play more direct outside line, and keep hand behind ball and throw hard. It is a good scoring ball on tough conditions.

Ambush is very good ball for carrydown. It is also a good ball to throw if I am confused on conditions.  Before I got my Absolute it was my medium ball as well.  Even with factory finish it will burn up without head oil, unless you have some revs.  Don't be afraid to polish it if you need to, and work with a ball driller who knows you and understands your game.
