Melee is a great ball when riding friction. Rolled a 299 with mine. great ball when there is plenty of friction!

I've really liked my Gusto on med-med light patterns and later in long blocks

I don't bowl in any tournament without my Reax Gustos. They're money for me. Almost literally.

The original Melee is a very underrated/under-appreciated piece in my opinion!

Finally got a chance to throw both balls tonight, so far love the roll and carry of the Melee. But the Gusto could not get the 7pin out(lefty). Pin down Melee nice smooth arc predictable nice carry, pin up Gusto lots of length big backend, witch was caused the 4pin to fly around the 7pin. Could end up being a good one to punch. Didn't expect the Melee to cover as many boards as it did, Gusto was as expected with the 50 x 3 3/4 x 30 drilling. Went with 45 x 4 x 70 on the Melee. Was not expecting the Melee to be a first ball out of the bag ball, but was expecting maybe third game or second shift ball. Have been starting the night off with either my reax 2 sold then switching to the reax 2 pearl. Hope to get more games on these two pieces so I can get a better deal of where they will fit in my bag.

The entire Melee line is pretty awesome like that. The Cross is similar to an IQ Tour Solid from Storm; it reads fairly quickly, and the backend reaction is smooth and controllable. It's the closest thing the Melee line has to a heavy-oil piece. The Melee Jab is a very strong pearl, one that I find along the lines of Storm's Marvel Pearl. It clears the heads better than the Cross, and it corners better too. The original Melee is an interesting beast in and of itself. It is pretty much a perfect medium to medium-light ball. The think I like the most about it is that it never seems to over-react. If you need to control the movement down lane, the Melee is amazing! Long story short, the Melee line is just rock solid from top to bottom!

+1!!!!!!  Throw in an LT-48 and you rule the lanes!
