Title: Melee Jab

I get the impression that I've been missing out on a good symmetric pearl piece and it would definitely fill a hole in my tournament arsenal.

My question is that I saw a lot of reviews and raves about the Melee Jab when it was introduced. Has it become yesterday's news and something like the Radical Primo has become the latest craze?

I have not thrown the Primo yet, but the Jab has been the BEST pearl in quite some time for me. 
Factory finish was good, but knocking the gloss off of it made a world of difference to me.  I still have it as my "go to" ball that I can use anywhere.  Drilled mine pin down with "double thumb" layout.

'but knocking the gloss off of it made a world of difference to me.'  W/what or to what grit. Just got a Jab, plugged and ready to be drilled, surface at 500 w/storm diamond polish...wow! Was thinking I might try 2000 or maybe 3000. Liked what I was seeing, but will have to tame it some.

Normally I see plenty of oil wherever I'm bowling. 

On the spinner at higher speed with water flowing I typically use a new 3000 or a slightly worn 2000 pad.  It's like burning a track, so to speak.  The ball picks up the read a little earlier, but still finishes very strong.  Hope this helps.

I am not a Brunswick staffer but with help from many people on this site I recently put together a new 4-ball Brunswick arsenal.  I haven't had a chance to post a full review of all 4 balls, but let me say that the Jab is a really special piece.  Unlike anything I've ever thrown.

The ball is incredibly clean and smooth through the front.  OOB it goes very long and then has a strong, angular response to the friction when it finds it.  It is also extremely versatile.  I can start with it on the fresh and go straight.  Then as the lanes start to break down just keep moving left all night.  There seems to be no limit on how deep I can play with it -- and I am a low revs/speed stroker.

I went back-and-forth between the Jab and Rhino Pro and ended up getting both.  The Jab is longer and almost as clean and smooth through the front and has much more on the backend.

I am also super-impressed with the Cross and was one of the few that loved the OG Melee.  These three balls together are a great arsenal.
