I remember reading so much about the Melee Jab when it was first introduced. Then when the Rhino Gold was re-introduced all I've read is raves about that piece. Given the choice, which would be the better buy?

It depends on what your intentions are for reaction type. The Melee Jab is versatile and is stronger overall than the Vintage Gold Rhino Pro. The Gold Rhino Pro is made for medium to lighter conditions and is a step above the Vintage LT-48. The Melee Jab is made for medium oil conditions and would be 3 - 5 boards stronger than the Vintage Gold Rhino Pro with the same drilling. You can't go wrong with either ball.

I agree with Brandon. Goldie is a little weaker, so it's better after I start seeing the lanes open up, but the Jab is one I can use anytime. LOVE it!

As others have said, the Melee Jab is stronger than the Vintage Gold Rhino Pro. Both balls are versatile and handle moderate type conditions well with the Rhino being better suited to lower volumes. The best buy depends on the lane conditions you are seeing and your type of play. If you need more length the Gold Rhino would be a better choice. If you have a little more speed and getting the ball to slow down and read the pattern is more important to you then the Melee Jab is the better ball. I use mine together as a team. I start with the Melee Jab and if it is too much I usually throw the Gold Rhino.
