BVP Nemesis
« on: February 17, 2007, 07:57:53 AM »
Well today I was coaching the kids in my dads Youth Program. I heard a friend and his dad get into an arguement about some things, mainly the ball. Well at the end of the leauge my friend puts the ball on the table next to me, says "Good luck because your gonna need it with this ball, its yours!"

So now I have this and im thinking about a different kind of layout that ive never used. Right now the layout is fairly different then what Ive seen. Right now its about 2 1/2" x 5" or there abouts. I plan on putting the pin in the ring finger and the CG 45* right. My other thought is RICO drilling. I needed another solid coverstock ball in my arsenal anyway.

This is exactly my thoughts. It was free and a plug and redrilling will cost me about $50ish unless I can talk Jim into letting me do all the work on my own since I need to learn how to do this anyway.

RICO seems to be the layout im gonna try as I have never used this kind of layout.

Great ball! Sounds like someone should have tried a different layout, in my opinion. I had one of these, and now I have the Wizard (same ball, different color).
Great dull or shiny.

Whos Jim Kadrowski?? Sorry if hes someone that I should know, Ive never heard of this name before. At least it dont sound familiar.

As for my friend only doing 1 drilling on this ball, I tried to get him to try another layout before he gave it to me but he would not have anything to do with that idea. So right now its sitting next to my collection along with my Legends World Class Reactive, Brunswick Intense Inferno, Track Synergy Pearl, Brunswick Vapor Zone (which is currently getting a baking and cleaning treatment).

Im still deciding on which drilling im gonna use. Im not too comfortable with the rico layout yet as I am a high tracker and have had problems with rolling over my middle finger hole in the past. Had to change my entire form to fix that problem and I still track fairly high. I think im gonna do the pin in ring finger CG kicked out.

Brunsmike,

If you track high, try it leverage and stacked. That should get the ball flaring and also make it predictable.

As I mentioned earlier, you can shine it to delay the hook a little, too, if you want.

Ahh okay. I was talking about Jim Erickson out of sunset bowl. Theres been talk about me becoming the next Pro-Shop Operator at Sunset Bowl. The details will be ironed out once the bowling season is finished. I will probably have to take a Pro-Shop course in May before anything can really be set in stone.
