Could someone explain this?

I'm sorry, this may be a re-post.

I emailed Mr Tom Tomaras over at brunswick about the differences between Activator and the Intl DZ5's Powerkoil 21. He replied with the following.

"Powerkoil 21 will round sooner off the dry and have more angle and it may
roll out easier than Activator ..."

Thing is, I do not know anything about bowling terminology. I have no idea what "round sooner off the dry" and "roll out" means. I'd be grateful if anyone could explain this to me. Thanks.

sounds off.  I think, he is trying to say that it is more aggressive than the Activator, it will hook more and rollout easier.  Rollout is when the ball loses energy and stops hooking.  Inexperienced bowlers don't even know when its happening.  I've never really had anything rollout on me, once or twice maybe.  But, my friend Scott was killing everybody when his Pro Purple would rollout right as it entered the pocket.  It is the craziest thing....

when a ball rolls out that means it has lost its drive, and is in a "dead" roll, thus the ball will lack hitting power

Believe me kotm, Mr. Tomaras is very qualified and knows what he's talking about.

Basically, the coverstock is more aggressive so it has a sharper reaction in the dry boards. When a ball moves that strongly at it's break point, it usually has a tendancy to "stop" or "roll-out" sooner than a ball that arcs off of the dry.
