What are these balls like?
« on: February 13, 2006, 12:45:38 PM »
For a little under $200 I have the option of buying an Attack Zone MR, a Riot Zone Purple Pearl, a Slate Blue Quantum, and an ordinary target zone. The problem is I would have to move up to 16lbs. Is this a good deal for the 4 balls, and more importantly how do they look as a complete arsenal? I know the quantum would be used on oily lanes but my concern is that the riot zone and the attack zone would be too similar. What kind of conditions would these balls be best suited up for? Could I get away with the following
Oil : Quantum
Medium/Medium Dry : Riot Zone
Dry : Attack Zone

OK Thanks. Was a big help. Will put my order in and see how they all do. Then I'll make a decision on a 5th ball. Im liking the looks of the rampage so may go along with that. The reason I was looking at the riot zone for medium/medium dry was this quote from the website:

"The dual density shaped core developed for use in the ball positions a large portion of the overall core mass toward the perimeter of the ball, raising the overall Rg, which helps push the ball down the lane allowing it to be used on medium to drier lane conditions."

But it is a UK website so it could mean anything

In fact, the same quote is on this very site as well so I shall give it a chuck and see what it does.

Would a danger zone fit in between the riot and the attack zone?
