Post by: MonsterSmashR on January 24, 2006, 06:16:48 AM
What do you think is the best Monster reactive ball?

I think the SmashR is the best ball.

Never tried the others, but I loved my Green/Black...when it actually hooked. I still have it, but I didn't know how to take care of it when I was younger, so I always left it in the garage or the trunk of my dads car. Now it doesn't hook unless there's little oil, but I use it as my spare ball.

Hey fins, resurface the ball to dull or drill it different for it to be more aggressive. If you drill it so the pin is just to the right of your ring finger and up just a tad so it is just at the top of your finger (if you are a righty) it will hook a little more and be more aggressive. That's how I have my SmashR and how I had my Absolute.

i really had two favorite monsters. on lighter oil conditions i thought the red/black pearl monster was great. however, i really liked the purple monster on medium to heavier oil patterns. the coverstock was very versatile and could be used dull or smooth sanded as needed.

Meh...I really don't need it anymore except to hit 7 pins. Plus, it's a 14, and I've moved up to 15#. I will however try to bleed it in hot water, just to see how much the technique works and how to do it. I never did it before, so might as well try it on a ball that i don't really use too much.
