Monster Red/Black
« on: August 25, 2003, 09:22:40 PM »
Would anyone recommend the monster red and black for an oil pattern that is 42 feet Long heavy to medium oil.  If any one could help me out it would be great.  I throw the ball at the second arrow and i usually start off at the 2nd dot so if any one can help me please do so.

Thanks
shawn

For long heavy oil - Not the Red/Black Monster, not unless you have revs like Robert Smith. I love this ball for up to medium oil and medium-light.

For that much oil, try the new Raging Inferno; it a 2-3 steps up from the Red/Black and a very impressive ball!

not the best choice for long, heavy oil. you could try it if it was sanded very dull but that would defeat the purpose of the ball. try the inferno---if that's too expensive try the monster smashR.

I have the Red/Black and the SmashR and I would definately agree that the Red isn't very good for heavy oil.. I also shoot the second arrow from the second dot, so I can tell you the Red/Black isn't the right one.. The SmashR works pretty well in the heavy oil if you don't want to spend a bundle on some of the upper level stuff..
