Inferno carry problems
« on: January 07, 2004, 11:24:11 PM »
A lot of people have posted about their inferno not carrying the ten pin.

Other say it will carry the world. I don't have a carry problem with mine and I was wondering if it was the factory finish that is messing it up.

I do not know what the factory finish is, but I heard enough people talking about the over/under problem with them that I changed mine right after I got it.

I sanded mine down with 600 then polished it back up with 1000 squeaky clean professional ball polish. With the finish being a major part of the ball, could the factory finish be the carry problem with the ball?

Those of you that cant get the ball to carry the ten. How many of you still have the factory finish on your ball?

Last night in my thursday league:
Game 1: 185, 7 x 10 pin left.
Moving outside, G2: 278.
Not a question of ball. This one is real good.

Mine was taken down to 800, then a single coat of polish over that

So why not take it 600 and then the polish. What have you got to lose?

I don't know if that is the problem, or axis/tilt/rev/hook whatever.

All I know is when I got mine, I sanded 600, then polished it, and never had a problem with corner pins unless I hit the pocket wrong.

I bowled three games today with it and had 1 7 pin(lefty)
I can't call that a pin leaving machine.
