Slight Rico Swarm FIGJAM
« on: December 23, 2008, 10:40:53 PM »
I recently punched up a Swarm with a Rico layout (modified) with the pin being under the bridge, this is my first rico drilled ball.

All I can say is this ball with this drill is nothing short of money, and exactly what I was looking for reaction wise. I wanted a ball the when the inside lines weren't working for me, I could move over and play strait up the right side, or small tight swing. This ball does it and it does it very well, it holds its line so well even in a part of the lane that has seen traffic all night, then just gently arcs back to the pocket. Mind you I have 350 revs, so I have to throw the ball harder than usual, but I can still be accurate. The carry with this ball is really really good.

Well I don;t know where I am goign with this, but what I can say, anybody with some higher revs that wants to play more up the right side with good results, get a Swarm and drill it rico. Best ball I have bought in the last couple months, and will be in my arsenal for a long time.

LaneHammer20,

I agree with you. The Swarm is one of my very favorites. I'm using it more and more lately.

i only threw mine in OOB finish for a couple throws, just to see how the thumb felt before I left the pro shop. The reaction looked really good.

I hardly ever stay with any OOB finish that is polished form the factory, so I immediatly took it up to 800 grit and polished over with snake oil. This ball and my Link are the only balls I can get on the right side and play the down and in area, i have to keep my speed up more on the Swarm being it is a stronger ball, but works better on more conditions.

Only downfall, which is because of the drill, is that when I have tried playing deeper angles with it it can sometimes ring some 10's, but like i said that is because of the drill and that is not what I bought the ball for
