Title: My Fuze is Getting Old
Post by: vadertyme03 on January 04, 2006, 09:47:54 AM
I have a Raging Red Fuze that has lost alot of its original movement...Its been resurfaced twice, rejuventated twice, was plugged from right hand drill to left hand, and had two big gouges in the track that were repaired...Is it worth it to hold on to it or should i start shopping for something new ?

Yeah... I'd look into a Classic Zone or Absolute Inferno for a replacement.

go with the vapor zone you wont be sorry, clears heads and corners hard. It has made my first bag of stuff my current lineup includes vapor zone and ambush in it. i have my vz drilled pin above ring and mb right under thumb revs up hard and backends well even in heavier medium patterns.

I am also thinking about resurfacing my RRF. It is (was) polished, but has lost a lot of pop since summer and not seen much usage through autumn and winter. Nevertheless, yesterday I took it with me for training to see how it was doing, and the ball surprised me with 234, 211 games on a played down sort shot.

I am also considering an Rough Buff finish on my RRF, maybe with a higher basic grit than 220. Maybe 600 or eben higher, because I need some length. But the high gloss polish has alwys been a bit itchy for me...

Great back end ball, after all. Never underestimate olders stuff. At times, these balls are easier to control than modern stuff IMHO.
