Title: My UI
Post by: Brodieman on March 14, 2006, 12:52:06 AM
For some reason, unknown to me, my proshop guy likes to polish everything just a little to much.  Well from what the told me my UI is betwen 800 and a 1000, but its just too damn shiny.  I was thinking of taking to 800 specifically and leaving it dull.  Is this what is factory for the ball?  I have seen new ones and they all have the dull matte finish, im just wondering if that there is a small amount of polish on the ball, or its just an 800 grit wet sand.

800 grit wet sand is what mine was, and it was awesome. That's my .2 cents.

Guys with high rev rates tend to really shine things up.
As they create friction with hand.

I've got a 300 rev rate, and depending on perspective its either average or sligly above.  It just skates to much in the oil, much like my AI is doing, i think im going to bump that down to 1200 with a light coat of polish.
