Title: Need a Versatile Ball
Post by: rocafellarocks on March 23, 2011, 11:05:13 AM
What do you think is the most versatile brunswick ball right now? I have several balls that work great on certain conditions but I really want to find something that will work on everything but the oiliest and driest. Thanks

If you can find one get a wild card. This was my ball of choice on a 50ft TOC pattern  sweeper as well as a 30ft sport pattern sweeper in the past couple of months. Not sure exactly how, but it just seems to have a great look no matter what I'm bowling on.

I'm not the best on the newest brunswick stuff, but it looks like the loaded revolver is shaping up to be another great versatile ball. plenty of overall hook but not unusable on dryer or shorter patterns.

Loaded Revolver and Anaconda are quite versatile for me. Too many good choices though.

I have two Wicked Sieges and they have been wonderful.

I've had three total but the bowling alley destroyed one and had it replaced. Drilled it on the same dual angle layout and changed the pin to pap by an 1".

All three have worked out really well. I left one in box condition and took the other up to 4000grit and added polish. Very easy bowling balls to read the lanes with and is very surface change friendly.

Right behind it is the Loaded Revolver (same cover as the Wicked) and then the Anaconda. Anaconda won't handle as much oil as the other two, but on anything less then heavy oil it works great.

Be good, or be good at it.

If I had one ball to bowl in a random centre on a random condition it would probably be my Wicked Siege.  I can play a lot of angles with it and it is effective on anything that is not extreme.

C-System 2.5...........I have yet to find a more versatile ball from Brunswick. However, for something newer the Wicked Siege is very good.

I say the wicked or the loaded revolver.  Two of the best balls out.  The alpha also with a little polish to help tame the mid lane reaction of the ball.

I had a C*System 2.5, and absolute inferno. both drilled rico that was very good on any pattern.  But for the newest stuff, I would have to say the Loaded Revolver.  But not by very much over the Wicked Siege.

Easy..it's the Rattler..

Can't go wrong with the Activator cover and Rocket core. It's pretty much a born again Inferno for me. Good consistent read of the lanes and predicable hook.

Yes. it's I, the Inverted One..

Haven't thrown a lot of their stuff the last couple of years.  The old Pearl Fury was one of the most versatile Brunswick balls I have thrown.  Anaconda is very good also.  I like the hit I get from my Loaded Revolver, but maybe not as versatile as Anaconda.

the wicked or evil siege are very good. the 4.5 covers a variety of conditions also.

From the current lineup, Wicked Siege hands down, IMHO.
