Karma Urethane video on youtube!
« on: July 18, 2012, 10:36:40 AM »
I found this video while looking at ball reactions for different bowlers using Brunswick bowling ball on youtube! This is the reaction that I'm seeing with my Karma Urethane! Enjoy and yes this ball is fun to roll, because of the control without the skid/flip!!

Looks just like mine!  Reads early and extra smooth. I may just try mine on Scorpion tonight, along with the other new releases.
Last week the Maxxed Out with a little surface was great, but why throw the same ball every week, right?

Was looking at getting a Karma urethane to fit with Nexus Solid and Versa Max. In the video I find it interesting that it was on heavy oil.

Let me update. I did try mine on Scorpion Wednesday. I was playing straight up 7-8 board with it, and although I stayed clean, I did not light the world on fire either. Once I switched to the Maxxed Out, I had more miss room.  Urethane with surface should read earlier than we are used to seeing, and the late movement is very controlled.
On a THS I did have lots more miss room than I had on Scorpion (for obvious reasons). Frankly, I see me needing it when the lanes are ugly or unpredictable as something to tame everything down.  Carry percentage has been acceptable so far. Hope this helps.

I personally think urethane is vastly underutilized in todays game.  Too many people have this perception that it can only be of value to power players who can't keep the ball on the lanes on dirt.  I have been throwing a Natural for a couple of years, and tested the Karma last month in Vegas.  As a lower rev senior who likes gets his best reaction when he can play straighter, I have found urethane like the Karma to carry exceptionally well because I can often play up the boards outside of 10 when the house shot is either too wet dry, or the heads have broken down forcing me to use too much head belly from inside the oil line with my resin equipment.  Nicest thing about urethane is that you never get fooled.  Too much carrydown and you get the read right away any put the ball down.

A lot of people are under the impression that urethane doesn't hook. It hooks. Depending on the finish and the condition it can hook too much. With some of the newer releases people will remember that more and more.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Really dating myself as an old guy but we could make polyester hit fromj 4th arrow before they started dumping the entirer contents of the Exxon Valdez on the lanes to combat the friction created by the resin balls.
