http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20848&item=7151360668&rd=1  This is a pretty nice looking ball, although $110 is more than I would spend for a spare ball.

Is that the gold crown jewel?  If it is, I think some of them actually had specks of gold in the cover.

the 'original' ones did. There were also a bunch that looks similar and didn't have the gold specs I believe. The one with gold leaf is probably worth a lot of money now undrilled.

Actually, judging from the logo style, and KNOWING that the 14# AMF Classic Pro Roll 3-Dot that he's selling is a 70's ball and NOT a 60's ball, it's more likely that all of these balls are 70's, not 60's, and therefore not worth a whole lot. Unless of course you're a "collector" and this is a "must have" item to complete your collection.

Geez, using logic on us like that.  You know, I wonder if Brunswick would be able to tell the year of the ball and if it was "the" gold crown jewel based on the serial number.

While it is a cool looking plastic ball, based on the label engraving, this ball was produced in the early 80's.

Brunswick used the name "Crown Jewel" from the 1960's through the early 80's.

Brunswick started using the "flush" engraving in the early 80's (1982 or 1983). This ball has the flush engraving.

Sorry to disappoint.

Straight from the Verb's mouth, even though it isn't the really cool gold crown jewel, it's still a nice looking ball.

Had one about 1980 or so.  Crazy looking brown, tan, white swirl.

Back then, it hooked about 5 or 6 boards.  If I had one now, it would make a great spare ball.

Here's a pic from bowling ball reviews... http://www.bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=1803
And that picture doesn't do it justice!  A buddy of mine picked one up about a month ago, one damn good looking bowling ball...
