Sidewinder - Particle

I know that some of the Sidewinders were made without particle in them.
I know it is a low load particle ball but how can I tell that my ball is a particle one.. ?
Did brunswick differentiate it on the box , pin color or literature ??

The box mine came in had reactive written on one of the labels. Pin color is the same.

thanks for the help.. hard to tell much difference from the pictures other than the particle has alot more white.. don't know if that is just the photo though..
Didn't see any reactive label anywhere.. and the tech sheet does say particle on it.. so I must have the particle.. ball is alot shinier than I thought it would be..

I do have a question on your reactive ball.. where is the cg on that and what is the Pin to PAP distance.  It kind of looks like a drilling that I want to do..
what reaction do you get.??

The the pearl on the reactive looks more transparent than the particle versions pearl.  The "white" you see is the effect that the particle has on the coloration.

I have no idea where the CG is on that ball.  More than likely it was bumped positive to allow for balance hole tweaks.  The pin is 3.5" from the PAP and likely 2" from the VAL.  I didn't really care for smooth reaction that resulted.  For me that was WAY too strong of a pin position for a house shot.

High pins don't automatically give length like so many people assume.

In comparison the mod-Rico layout on the particle version was longer and stronger.

The reactive is for sale since I no longer throw 15#.

Just thought I'd chime in and say I think I agree with this statement.  High pins in my experience, on the contrary, seem to burn energy faster and therefore don't carry as well as lower pins EXCEPT on longer patterns.  So my theory is opposite of what most people think.  I would more than likely take a lower pin on THS than a higher pin, but it depends on the ball itself too.
