I'm sorry, but I have to agree with what some others have said:
Using this web site to make people go to your web site, no matter how much value you provide, is, at best, unethical, and possibly, a conflict of interest; at worst, illicit & illegal.

For Brunswick balls, I'd rather view Billy Orlikowski's videos and go with Ray Salas's opinions.

For Roto-Grip & Storm, I'd rather view Britton Reider's videos.

How is that any different from you offering opinions on balls that you haven't thrown?  You just regurgitate ball reviews from Bowlers Journal.  Laughable.

charlest...first of all he's not making no one goto his website!!!he's letting people know what he has available for them IF they chose to view the videos.secondly if the moderators dont step in and tell him its wrong...then its alright!!!everyone is entitled to their opinions...but its up to the owners and moderators to tell someone if what they are doing or promoting is not allowed!!!

Go hard or go home!!!!!Bowl your best...ALWAYS!!!

Wow, I didn't think I would get involved in this sort of thing.

If you would like to see the videos, all are welcome to view them.  I'm not sure how it's different because I post the videos on my own website, while others post them on their website as well or youtube.

If you don't want to see them, then don't click the link. Don't go to YouTube.  Heck, if you're not interested in ball reviews, video or otherwise, then why come to this site...

Look, I'm just sharing information with people.  I don't think I've said a bad word to anyone on this site.
There are many experienced people on this site and I'm happy to get constructive criticism.  I just can't understand what the issue is and how this is different than Brunsnick, videoballreviews, or anybody else who is contributing to this site but also have their own site.

Hi. If this is directed towards me, I can't understand this at all.  You have no idea if I've thrown the equipment and the fact that reviews are written in conjunction with several testers.  I don't even subscribe to Bowlers Journal and I tend to get the balls and reviews before their even on BTM.

So if BJI is saying the same thing I am, then I'll take that as a compliment.

Take it easy, pal.  Wasn't directed at you.  The guy bitching about your ball reviews being on your site is famous for offering ball reviews and recommendations based solely on what he reads about the balls.  To me, don't review a ball unless you've personally thrown it.

If it is of benefit to the community, I don't have a problem with it.  If he's was spamming us with herbal viagra and the like, I'd have a problem with it.  By the way, can't reach your site at the moment...

As I said, this has been discussed previously:
Previous post about Tamer Bowling in MISC forum

It is different because you're not posting your video here. You are telling people they have to go to your web site to see your video.  It's advertising your web site on this one.

I've seen your videos. They're fine, I guess, although I prefer others, as stated.

VideoBallReviews.com (Britton Reider) also posts his videos here, but he posts them here. He doesn't make you go to his web site to see them.

So it is Brunsnicks fault. lol

If there was a problem by the host site(ballreviews) I'm sure this would have been stopped.  So I'm guessing it isn't an issue.

+1 for Charlest. I definitely agree with his statements And moderators? Ha... That's funny. Agreed they can and should control what they feel is right or wrong for this site, they clearly have that right. However,  that doesn't mean their opinions are infallible, or even in the majority. It's just an opinion, like we all have... Free world and all that... Don't get all wadded up about it. As for me, it's a tacky way to drive traffic to your site.

People will bitch about anything and everything. I quite like that I can come to one site and get references to others with info that I may be interested in. We all still come to BR first.

I think this goes back the old case "It depends who you are".....me thinks.

Personally, I don't care who posts links to what just as long as there are no viruses involved.

I don't care what site it would direct me to if ALL product videos were like Justin's on the Motiv Raptor.  If you could inter-mingle pills from other companies in a comparison within the same video and have similar layouts as they're being tested, you've got yourself a winning product.

Thanks all for the feedback.  The ruckus in the post Charlest linked to had to do with the fact that I posted the videos in the ballreviews section before I had the written reviews.
Truthfully, I was trying to get the videos out as soon as I could.  The written reviews came a day or so later, but a couple of people had a conniption that they went to my site and couldn't see them yet.
By the time the thread took off, the reviews were there.

In the future, I will avoid posting in the ball reviews section until I have written reviews, I guess.

I just want to thank the guys for backing me up, who do this who know how much effort it takes to do it, namely Brunsnick and Britton (VideoBallReviews).  It's a lot of work and I do have a day job like everyone else.  I'm really just trying to get the information out there as soon as I can and make it as relevant as possible.

Posting the vids before the written reviews is smart since most people on here don't read. It is easier to watch and make your own conclusion then to have someone tell you what they thought.

YOU have zero credibility when it comes to ball videos after your classless act over on the MOTIV site complaining that some video that Justin W was doing was "taking too long".  You seem to have a definite opinion how everybody else should run a site or do a video.  When can we expect to see your site up and running or post a ball video?  Probably never.  Those that can, do.  Those that can't, bitch how other people are doing it.

WOW...A lot of fuss over some videos...

What seems to be missed here is this...

Brunswick has EXTENDED their REBATES...

And has even offered them on their 3 new models... Due 8-1-11

$50 off on the Ultra -Max...

$40 off on the Lethol Revolver...

$20 off on the massive damage...

Now that's a deal worth TALKING about...

I have used the Ulti-max two weeks now and it is a great ball to say the least. It is drilled identical to my Wicked Siege. Both are 60x5"x70, the Ulti-max picks up a few feet soon and has a very strong finish. The Wicked clears the heads much smoother and reacts later, and just a little weaker then the Ulti-max on finish. The Ulti-max is a stronger ball then I was expecting, but in a good way. (This was on THS)
