Switched to all Brunswick equipment after being an Ebonite Int'l guy. I bought a Nexxus f(P+R) and shot my first 300 with it the 2nd game I had it. I also bought a Wild Card and Damage both for 30 dollars each, and cap off with my TZone spare ball. Brunswick equipment is awesome and I'm SO glad I switched.

I'm headed to all Brunswick myself. Purchased the Versa - Max Monday (June 11)and plan to get 2 more Brunswick balls to replace my Gamebreaker and Nano shortly, but I have some medical problems to deal with first at the moment before I can get those 2 more balls.

Yeah, man! Get the Nexxus f(P+R) and an Ulti Max to replace that Gamebreaker. Both Nexxus is a REALLY good ball, and the Ulti Max is the strongest Mid-Performance you can get out of any company.

id rather have him go with the versa max than the ultimax to replace the gamebreaker. stay with a symmetric core and just take the surface to about 2000 or so. youll see the same type of early and smooth reaction.

teenbowler, congratulations on your first 300 game! And, I hope that you have continued Success with Brunswick
Brickguy, I would suggest getting a Nexxus F(P+R) as a replacement for the Nano.

While I have a bit of a diverse bag, Brunswick makes some great rolling equipment.
Congrats on 300 #1, #1 is always special and something to remember!!
-
Congrats on your 300! Welcome to the fam.
-
Great bowling!!!! Enjoy the great Brunswick equipment!

Congrats on the perfecto and welcome to Brunswick nation. If I can answer any questions...fire away!

Thanks everybody for the congrats! Really the reason why I completely switch to Brunswick is because of how every single ball right down to the entry level NEVER gives up on the lane like I've experienced with Ebonite. Brunswick keeps on truckin' no matter what. Pin carry is also well improved from other brands. Weak 10s never happen anymore for me. Maybe the occasional ring 10, or Walter Ray shuffle of the pins where you end up with a 7, but that's only once a game. GREAT stuff.

Congrats on the 300. I switched to Brunswick awhile back after using all Track stuff (while Columbia had them). I have had mixed results, however over all happy with the switch. I have not bowled in a few years. I am thinking about starting back up in the fall. If I do I will slowly start to update my equipment. Right now the first ball out is my Smokin Inferno, followed by Inferno, then Rampage. I do not use my Fury, or my Power Groove.

I love all of my Big-B equipment, both old and new. I'm waiting to see what comes out soon and then it may be time to sell of the few balls from other manufacturers I'm holding on to! I know the Versa Max is next on my list and the rumors of a urethane Karma have me excited!

Congrats Teen!! You'll be seeing many more with the Big B!!! Keep up the great bowling and keep us posted!!!

Good news guys! Qualified to bowl Junior Gold! Making the drive from Wichita KS all the way to Indianapolis for it. Bowled on the short pattern, and decided to break down the lanes with a urethane ball (hopefully the Urethane Karma. If not then I'll use a Slingshot or something), then move to an outside line once broken down with my Damage, then move to my Wild Card for a nice inside backend. Then, when it's completely burned, I'll go back to the Damage, and play a normal stand on 20, swing to 8 line. At least that's how I've assessed it. Good idea?

It will definitely be a learning experience when you bowl. It's good to have a game plan, but don't be afraid to change things up if it isn't working. I like to see who is scoring and get an idea of what they are using and what part of the lane they are playing.

Yeah. My center laid out the Short pattern for me to practice on. My TZone hooked in the middle. If you want to be brave and swing the ball far outside, you better get it there in time. That's why I'm going to use a urethane, or weak ball to start with so I receive more forgiveness and have a late breakpoint. Once the outside is moderately broken down is when I'll start to score. But I bet there will be one point where someone will totally miss their mark and throw it in the gutter. That's why you don't play outside in different patterns until you actually see someone do it.

Good luck out there Teen... as Nick said it is a tough tournament. Best advice I can give is to have that game plan and do the best to stay out of trouble. SHooting a 190 is alot easier to make up then 150. Make your spares!!!

Thanks! Yeah. My coach (Rick Steelsmith) makes me shoot spares for an hour before we do anything else. I carry a 87% Spare Percentage, which is nice to be able to fall back on. Whenever I leave a spare I just think "It will all be worth it when you start stringing strikes."
