Well I've been drooling at the new Time Zone.
Because in the past I'd had such success with the Revolution Rebel ECX.
Think back Danny Wiseman on TV mopping up opponents with this thing!
Unfortunately it worked every where else except at my soupy house!

Sold it, Saw the price tag on the Time Zone and said, if still available I'll buy back!
Got it from Doug Sterner, noticed surface looked different. I had been hesitant to change since the ball was so awesome everywhere else I bowled(looked about 1000 or 600 with very high gloss polish).
Doug replied "400 and then hit with Track clean and sheen".
Much more surface than before. Took it into Soupy corners and voila.
Ringing 7 pins gone!!!!! Awesome!
Oh yeah that covestock thing! Forgot!

FYI
Clean and Sheen, in Track's ads, (see ad in July 2003 BTM ), "takes a ball from a 320 grit sanded finish to a 1000 grit sheen in one step". Depending on how hard you pressed, after the lines were removed, you're back to 1000 grit surface. If you pressed very lightly, you might be at 800 grit, but I do not believe you are at 400 grit any longer. I guess a "sheen" is half a step down from a polish. No, it's not a high gloss polish.

That is about the difference I saw.
A duller 1000 vs high gloss 1000.

Then all you really need is to apply a little of EBonite's Quick Sand (now called Matte Finish) or Track own new Clean and Smooth (1500 grit, but judicious application is good.) to dull the high gloss polish.
3 ft is a large difference between those 3 finishes.

i have always had the best reaction with a brunswick ball after changing the factory finish---regardless of the type of ball. always remember to try a different surface if you're not completely satisfied with the roll you're getting. it's much cheaper than a plug and redrill.
