I just bought a Smokin Inferno...
« on: May 05, 2008, 12:33:50 PM »
Hello Group

Well, I just bought a used SI from some guy named BrunsNick.....J/K of course, I know he's one of the studs here.

Anyways, I just thought that I would say that and he will be shipping it out tomorrow so I can't wait for that baby to get here...btw, I think the SI has got to be one of the best looking bowling balls that I have ever seen...and no thats not why I bought it

Later everyone,

Not going with the vapor zone? Anyway this ball is amazing, good luck with it. I love mine and yes, I agree it is very good looking. The other inferno that looks very good going down the lane is the intense inferno.

hehe, I know. I still might get that one or the Avalanche Solid, I've always wanted the SI and since I saw that BrunsNick was selling it I knew that it would be in great shape so I jumped on it.

I was actually surprised that the ball didnt go sooner

From what I heard the Avalanche solid is a very hard hitting ball. Good luck with your choice, they are both very good bowling balls.

I think you should give the Rico layout a try, seeing as though the ball already has the layout!

Shipped today, you'll see it tomorrow!

The guy wimped out and started throwing 15's, otherwise, I'd been all over that SI.

Can't even finish a Chipote Burrito..

Does drill a mean BB however..

I'm 20% more lazy, so I dropped to 15's.

Hello Group

Ok, my next question is, hows the new release of the Ultimate Inferno? the reason I ask is since I got the Smokin-Inferno from BrunsNick I was thinking about getting a Ultimate Inferno to do along with it.

Right now they are only $104.99 over at bowlersparadise.com

so anyway whats the current take on the UI? all input is appreciated, thanks!

Hello Group

Well, I rolled my new (used) Smokin Inferno last night in league and it was actually  a lot more ball than I thought it would be of course I only threw it for only 3 games but wow! what a ball.

So on my way out I met my friend Mike there who was talking to me about his Total Inferno which does not match up with him so I said "How about we trade straight up between my Morich LevRg and your Total Inferno" and he said Heck Yeah!

So now with in a week I get two great Brunswick balls, YES!!

That's good to hear, hope the total scores well for you. Mine never does the job unless i'm bowling on heavy oil because it's sanded down to 600 grit.

Could someone tell me what the OOB grit are on these please, Smokin Inferno and the Total Inferno

btw, I am using only the "Brunswick Factory-Finish High-Gloss polish" which I believe does not have any abrasives so what I would like to do is put the balls

back in there OOB condition using a abralon pad and my "Brunswick Factory-Finish High-Gloss polish".

Thanks, Jake

The total is 220 grit with a rough buff finish, the smokin I think is 400 grit then factory finish polish. Not 100 percent sure about the smokin but I think that's right.

Jake...you are gonna love this ball! I dont own one, but a team mate of mine does. It hits hard....in oob conditon its a very strong ball. He swears by it and rightfully so, he put up some big numbers with it during league. If you can find its original finish im sure you will have success with this one.
