Just put 8-9 games on the PBA pattern that will be at the Wild Turkey Bourbon regional in Lombard in June. The main reason for the practice was shooting at spares a LOT straighter than the way I'm used to. I was VERY impressed with the read of the Intense on this pattern. Standing at 30-35, laying the ball down nice, with a fair amount of hand over third arrow, with the breakpoint at 38-40 feet outside of the five board. Very smooth read off of the buff and impressive carry. I only had about two games on the pattern with the Intense as I was pummeling the hole with the Absolute. Shot just under 2000 with only four opens and three splits. The key, accuracy and ball speed...duh..but not as much as I though it might take. I had to find out exactly where the out of bounds was to the left by forcing myself to tug the ball towards the 16-17th board or playing a tighter line. The Intense really liked playing a little deeper than the Absolute but not as much as my Impulse Zone. I found myself searching for several different lines with the Impulse and the Intense but kept coming back to the AI like I hadn't skipped a beat. My only concern now, shooting 1800+ and missing the cut. It would really blow if I thought I left it all on the table and came up short. But, let's not erect my statue just yet. All of this horn-blowing and I'll post 1650 and never be seen or heard from again...lol! Like I told our local proprietor, I'll still be the same house hack whether I win or lose!
