Original Inferno good complement to the Absolute Inferno?
« on: July 25, 2005, 07:23:29 AM »
Is the Original Inferno a good complement to the Absolute? I am getting an OI but there are times when my AI is hooking too much and I just want something below that. Will the OI be good for that? I imagine it would be great for that especially with a nice control layout.

I think so, especially if you leave the Ab in box condition.

Yep, AI is in box condition. Now to find a NIB cheap 14 Inferno.

If memory serves right, the Absolute is weaker than the Original Inferno! I may be wrong but I believe the Blazing Inferno or the Monster Slay/R would be your next move to being tamer cover wise.

The AI is stronger than the OI and I wanted a step down from the AI.

For me, the Ab is about three to five stronger than the original, with both balls in box condition and drilled with the same layout (5 x 5, no XH).

With the same surface prep, I thought both were very close.  IMO, a better and cheaper alternative would be a Punisher.  You should have any problems lining up with that after the absolute starts jumping.
