Title: PBA Tour Pro-Am Balls
Post by: on November 05, 2008, 07:08:46 AM
Are these balls seconds? Might be doing a Pro-Am for fun and am wondering about these balls.

Thanks!

The Pro Am balls I have seen have all been decent and not strange weights, pin distances, etc. These include the 3 PBA Infernos and the Sidewinders.

Brunswick is the exclussive Pro Am ball provider for all PBA Tour stops that want to attach a ball to their event. We provide only 1st quality balls for all of these events. It is up to each individual Tour Host to determine if they want a ball offer as part of their Pro Am, and if so, they also choose what ball(s) they want to offer.

Last year for the Pro Am at whats now BZ Vernon Hills (Windy City Classic) one of the choices for Pro Am ball was the Fury Pearl.  When I took mine to my driller, we found a VERY long pin.  He told me they were almost universally like that.  If it was 1st quality, which I sorta doubt, it was on the very very edge of it.  Didn't hear anything bad with the Fury's or Blast Zone's, it was just the Pearls.

Thanks guys, they are offering the Twisted Fury and Twisted Fury Solid here in Columbus, Ohio next March.

Not sure if I need that type of ball for house shots.  I get along very well with a Groove Dry/R, Groove and Groove Pro Active and a T Zone for any shots I see.

Thanks again for the info!
