Pearl Particles
« on: October 26, 2005, 07:07:37 AM »
I like'em.

Brunswick hasn't had any recently have they?

Ragin Inferno and Impulse Zone were both solid activator particle.

Upcoming Ambush will be pearl particle but based off of pk18 and not activator+ ??

Was it? I never saw one up close, seems like it came and went pretty fast... and was it I heard about "soft" ones and "hard" ones?

The Blazing Inferno came in "hard" and "soft" versions, though unintentionally.  Yes, the Raging seems like it was pretty short-lived.  I think it was mostly just unpopular.  The UI came out about six months later and it was the heavy-oil ball everyone had to have.  It also had two colors, unlike the Raging.

There's a lady here with a RI, but she's almost a spinner, has practically no hand.  That's the only one I've ever seen.

Brunswick does seem to be a little particle-shy.  The only particles they have out now are the aging (but nice) Black Power Groove, the Impulse Zone, and the Goliath.  Compared to, say, Track, that's almost nothing.  That's weird, considering Brunswick invented particle technology.

what else is wierd is why are all the particles that they have or had recently...solid colored? not bad, just strange marketing i guess. because let's not deny it, color matters lol.

Psst, the old brunswick plant in Muskegon did not have the technology to produce multicolored particle balls.  Look for them in the future with the new Big B plant.

There have been a lot of high games in our area thrown with the Ragin!!!

Funny.  Almost all on the right!!!  They seem to have some moderate oil.

Most look lightly scuffed.

I've seen several kids under 15 shoot 299s and 279 with these things and make it look really easy to do it!

The ball is very popular at our house with a long fairly thin oil pattern.

Very thin and spotty on the left!

I may see if we can even get it down the lane on the left!  Often we can't get same surface as righties much past the arrows till we grab on the jerky midlanes!

Yep, Ambush is light load particle pearl, RI was medium load Acticator particle pearl. IZ is solid Activator light load, but phazed, looks weird on some balls. And then there is the solid sanded particle Power Groove, it has a coverstock used on the Quantums if I am correctly informed (Denim Blue Quantum?).
