Anyone else noticed this?
« on: January 19, 2005, 03:32:07 PM »
I have never had a Big B, drilled with the pin below the fingers, that I've liked.  I had two HPH's, both pin below.  On the third one, I put the pin up above my middle finger, rolled much better for me.

The same applies for the II, pin below bridge.  I didn't like the roll, but it carried well and I had some good sets with it.

On the other hand, every Ebonite I've had with the pin below the fingers has worked great for me.

Can anyone explain this????

Maybe it is b/c the Big B uses strong low rg cores that flare alot for me.  With my high track, maybe the ball is reading the lane too early for me.

I agree that you agree. I should add that I like the reaction but every ball I've had drilled like that was EXTREMELY condition specific.

I think a lot of it has to do with style, type release, revs, etc. as almost all balls work well for me with Pin under RF. The Pin under RF was fantastic on the V2 line and works just as well in the Storm Triple X. the Depth charge and the Extreme. Just got an Impluse Zone almost two weeks ago and it is also drilled Pin under RF and so far, I like it too.
