Ugh. From what I can see this is a somewhat longer, somewhat weaker Smash Zone. But 99% the same ball.

If the Smash Zone was never released this is an amazing deal. Now it's just a slightly cheaper version of something that's already out there. I'll pass.

According to Bill Orlikowski, head of R&D, the Python will be close to the Smash, except a quicker response to friction. There you go...

Or if you were on the fence about buying one before, they will be cheaper now lol

The RG numbers are the same as the Maxx Zone core = slightly higher than the Smash.

The real life ball looks great - I hope the Python is a "better" Smash Zone. I think the coverstock needs that higher RG, because it reacts so well to friction. The SZ revs up very easily...

Unless the surface prep is different, i really dont see these balls reacting different enough to qualify as two different balls.
I mean look:
Smash Zone  2.511 RG  .047 Diff
Maxx/Python 2.522 RG  .047 Diff

Thats a grand total of   .011 RG and .005 Diff.

Now if they give it a surface prep of 400+ Rough Buff like i think the total was at, it would seperate itself.
