Can you guys tell me if this is a good arsenal:
Heavy: Strike Zone
Medium-Heavy: Smokin' Inferno
Medium: Zone Classic (Green Pin)
Medium - Light: Punisher
Light: Power Groove
Spare: White Dot

Even though stats show that the Smokin is stronger than the Absolute, it needs a lot of dry to make a strong move. Maybe takin down the surface will help it check up a bit earlier but I think the Absolute being a bit duller and technically "weaker" will fit the ticket.

Since I already have the smokin' and white dot, I want to keep them.

THanks for the info hector, I was looking at the rampage and was wondering if that would be better than the punisher for Medium-Light oil

you wont be happy with that smoking on med/heavy oil. The ball goes long.

In my setup my smoking is the 3rd ball.

Ultimate(Oil-Med)

Absolute(Med)

Smoking(med -light) it's taking the place of my Intense.
If you crank the ball or have slower ball speed maybe it would work on a heavier condition for you.

I agree with John Ski.  The Absolute is better for med/heavy than the Smokin.  If you want to go with the Smokin and a Classic which I would highly recommend it should look like this.

STRIKE ZONE
ABSOLUTE INFERNO
SMOKIN INFERNO
ZONE CLASSIC
PUNISHER
POWER GROOVE
SPARE BALL

Theres not a condition that wouldnt be covered.  I would not even think of having an arsenal without the Absolute and the Zone Classic.

Beg to differ.  My arsenal is similar, and I could drive an 18-wheeler through the gap between the Zone Classic and the Punisher.  That's why I have a Rampage in the bag, to help fill that gap.

IME the Rampage is much cleaner through the front part of the lane than any of the Infernos are, Blazing and Intense included.

So, should I keep the zone classic and have an 8-ball arsenal, I would really perfer a 6-ball, or should I replace the ZC with the Rampage?

Hard to say without knowing more about your game, and the conditions that you typically see when you bowl.

Do you bowl around a lot, on Sport and PBA conditions as well as house conditions?  If so, it would behoove you to carry the extra ball, because you know that your competition will be.  If not, then you'd probably want to gear your arsenal to the conditions that you see most often.
