Title: Question for Brunsnick
Post by: BowlingforSoup on April 21, 2016, 12:37:08 PM
Any chance Brunswick is thinking about another urethane ball?I know the last was the Karma. They are hard to find. With summer coming up and bowling tournaments I would like to have a urethane for the short stuff.I know there are a few other brands out there.Would like to have all Brunswick stuff.Updated Black Phantom would be cool. Not sure there's enough demand just curious if maybe something is in the works.

I wish I could comment, but all I can say is stay patient, something different is coming.

Hope I can be patient.Just drilled up a Gold Rhino Pro.Took it straight to league and shot 740 out of the box.Man does it roll good. Right now Brunswick is really making some good stuff.Einstein,Gold Rhino and the Strike King pretty much got it covered. But a Urethane for short patterns and spares would be nice.

The Zone Urethane released overseas using the rocket core would work great if you detoured them from going so far away

Like manufacture a bowling ball in the U.S.A. instead of Mexico?

Get over yourself hoss.  Throw away all of the stuff in your house not made in the USA and tell me what you have left.  Your continued references to where Brunswick balls are made is tiresome and boorish to say the least.

Broken record for sure.

I appreciate Nick and his responses on pretty much every subject. But I think the point of the Mexico reference is, the rest of the industry is made here in the USA. While I understand my clothes, TV, car, or what have you is made overseas. But in an industry where EVERY company is made in the USA besides for Brunswick and Lord Field, people take notice. I know many of us had quality control issues when they first moved. But, it seems that many of these issues have been rectified. But I will say that I ordered a 15 lb Ultimate Nirvana for a customer and received a box stating 15 lb, but the ball was 16. Needless to say, neither I nor the customer were happy. The distributor replaced everything, but it was still just another negative experience with the brand.

And that's understandable to be disappointed with that experience. Production can go perfect and then a ball gets boxed incorrectly. When we are aware of an issue, we can correct it on the fly. Sometimes mistakes happen. I've been with Brunswick long enough to see changes and tweaks from both factories, and the last few years have been the best I've ever seen the product all the way from performance to quality and consistency ball to ball.

I don't sell or drill bowling balls but I would hazzard a guess that balls get placed in the wrong box from time to time.

I have a Rising Star and a Damage that I bought about the same time.  The Rising Star cracked out.  The Damage has not.  Kind of a small sample size for me to say all Utah balls crack and Brunswick balls do not.   Apparently, one is a large enough sample size for you to consider that a negative experience with Brunswick.

That can be with any industry.

Anybody make note which plastic balls are made in the U.S. and which are not?

Storm's Mix balls are made in China (or somewhere in Asia) too. Living in Michigan I know there are some around here that still harbor some resentment for Brunswick leaving the state to go to Mexico but it is what it is.

Brunswick is making some great balls right now. If you're hung up on where the balls are made, you're missing out.

Not sure that could be made today, it was quite a process to make.

Exactly. It only matters when it is convenient to fit ones agenda.....imagine that. Sadly I was hoping ABS was going to buy out Brunswick and expand into the U.S. market. Then I realized there is nothing to expand into here, and that would be a horrible business decision.
