Zone Classic, Rampage, or Smokin' Inferno
« on: November 08, 2005, 11:00:18 AM »
Right now I have a gap between my Ice(med-lgt) and Absolute(med-oily). I want something not as angular as my AI and not as smooth as my Ice(something in the middle). I was looking at the ZC, Rampage, or SI to fill the gap. I'm not sure if the SI would be the best choice or not, I have heard some mixed opinions about it. What do you think will be the better choice? Is there another ball I should look into?

Thanks!

No question. Zone Classic.  Rampage and Smokin are too flippy for what you're lookin for.

I have to agree with 2headed.  Realistically, sanding a ball is going to smoothen out the reaction from any ball.  If you are leaning more towards control, it can be tough to make an assymetric ball smooth.  The tendency of an assymetric core is to be "flippy".  I believe the best choice would be the Rampage with a weaker drill and hit it with 1000 or 2000 abralon.  I agree that the Rampage can be flippy, but so can any of the 3 balls he is looking at.  The Rampage is stronger than the Ice, but overall, weaker than the AI.
