first of all, i don't care for brunswick too much. but hell, for $110 drilled/slugged/inserted i took it.

for a 'cheap' ball, this thing takes care of business. on my wednesday THS, i burned up my lines pretty good with my cherry bomb. i pulled up the power groove and it took a 41 in the 4th frame (open open spare open) to a 194 in the 10th. there is nothing like a ball that goes 6 for 8 possible strikes! i left a couple 1-2s (tugged, ball took off PAST brooklyn) but they were easily picked up.

is anyone else able to echo my positive review?

i don't care who makes it, how much it costs, or how sexy the ball looks. can i carry the 7 and level the deck with a $60 ball?

Yeah if you think the power groove is good you should try the proactive plum about 5 more boards and hits very hard! great medium oil ball!

I drilled both the Plum and the Chrome/Yellow recently, and both are very clean in front and strong in back.  The Plum has more of a hard arc reaction, while the Chrome/Yellow is all skid-snap.  Both balls get through the heads well, even when the Bruiser starts to burn up early.

I go to the Plum for control when the transition is spotty, and to the Chrome/Yellow for more recovery when the track is gone.

I agree that this is a very dangerous ball.  Blazing Inferno reaction at half the price IMO.  Brunswick made a big mistake on this one, they could have retailed it for $50 bucks more with a monster label and made alot more money.  I don't see many of these but I have thrown one and when I see others with one they always say it's one of their favorites.

i am a lefty, btw...

i had this thing drilled pin center and out, and the CG kicked hard to the left of my ring finger. its supposed to be a long/snap drilll.... well, it is! it goes about 45-46 feet down and just jumps sideways 10 boards and on thru the guts. it is the most snappy ball i have ever owned. as long as the backends are clean, i can rely on this ball to just make a jailbreak for the pocket as soon as it winds up.

I threw a friends  14lb'er last year, drilled stack leverage. Made my 'tude1 look a bit sad. Still don't know why i haven't got hold of one to be honest!
