new ball recommendation?
« on: February 18, 2006, 01:04:53 PM »
I'm a high average bowler, been using a wicked the past 3 years and loved it. Not married to any manufacturer though. Averged between 213 and 228 with it. I'm basically a stroker and I love a ball that hooks a lot late, I like a ball that flips. Bowling in a house with medium oil and playing about 10 out to 5 but I can play deeper or straighter, pretty versital, I'll play what the lane gives me. Controlling a ball has never been a problem for me, just a question of how much it finishes and carrys (isn't it always?). What new ball would you suggest? price not an issue.

Well there is alot of equipment that finishes very hard out there. We have sold alot of Road Hawgs, One's, Vapor Zones, Paradigm's, ad now alot of Action Packed's. I think all of those ball would be in what your looking for and all of them are great balls but the raod hawg is going to hook more overall then any of the others. It just depends on what company you prefer.

Ball for back end and length from Brunswick should be the Smokin' Inferno at the moment - for a fresh lane. Good length, VERY snappy at the breakpoint and carries very well if it works - and that's the only drawback. It can be quite condition sensitive, and is IMHO not the only ball to have in the bag.

Tha Vapor Zone must be mentioned, too, probably the more versatile ball which handles a little more oil.
