What would be a good ball..(purchasing tomorrow)
« on: November 08, 2005, 05:47:19 AM »
to go with the punisher I just ordered. I am drilling it 2L from the drill sheet. (Stacked Leverage w/ Pin higher than ring.)

I was thinking a Smokin' Inferno, with the same layout would be good for a 1-2 punch. Any suggestions would be nice. (I was gonna use the punisher for med-light, would like something stronger for when I need it)

I might be tempted to try something a little less snappy if using a 2 ball arsenal.  The Absolute Inferno or perhaps the Nemesis seem like a good choice, based on the ball comparison sheet.  Still going to be a pretty strong ball for a high RPM drilled stacked leverage (which is actually 1E/L if I remember correctly).

Might consider a slightly longer pin to PAP, maybe a little more consistent for you.  Leverage can be squirrely for high rev bowlers - from what I have heard.

Thanks for the input. I didn't really care for the nemesis, or the absolute.
If someone wants to recommend a different drilling id appreciate that too.

Now that I remember, I liked the nemesis, but It was drilled 1L and it was too strong for the house shot I threw on at the time. I have matured as a bowler alot since then. I might give that a go with 1L or 2L

Any other suggestions for a Med-Heavy ball, for a High Rev, Medium speed/track bowler? It has to compliment the Stacked Leverage Punisher (Unless someone can recommend a better drilling for the punisher. I want it strong)

Smokin is very long and angular.  Personally for med/heavy I cant use this ball.  If I was you I would wait a few weeks and get the Vapor Zone.  THis ball is a bomb!!!!  If you cant wait then a Strike Zone would be good.  Very good on med/heavy condition and works well polished and dull.  If you go with the Strike Zone go with a longer pin - PAP, like 4.5 -5 inches.  That will get you down the lane.  Good Luck

I love angular balls. I want something I can get out, have it go long and then rev up back toward the pocket, example the punisher. They did recommend the Nemesis, but how well with that move in oil?

I did'nt really care for the strike zone. It is too much ball for my rev rate.

If the Strike Zone is too much then the Absolute would be next.  Then the Smokin.  If you want the BVP line, go with the Rampage.  This ball is very strong in the midline and backends VERY hard.  The Rampage might be your best choice.
