Replacing Absolute Inferno
« on: April 09, 2008, 11:06:11 AM »
I am looking to replace my Absolute Inferno and was wandering what ball in the current Brunswick lineup would be equivalent to it. The Absolute has been one of my favorite balls but all good thing must come to an end. I would appreciate any input anyone has to offer.

The King Quantum is advertised as having an Activator+ coverstock and an original Inferno core, but it is not as strong as the Absolute, in my experience. I haven't thrown the Vapor Zone.
Perhaps a polished Ultra-Zone would fill that niche?
I just drilled up a second Ultra Zone. If I like the layout, I'm going to polish my first one (which is layed out similar to my Absolute). I'll report back.

The Absolute would be a good candidate for a re-release, IMHO.
Or put the Twisted Cover around an OI core.

Buy a Vapor Zone, same cover as your beloved Absolute Inferno but a little more explosive thanks to the Asymmetric core.

I actually have a Vapor zone which I like but it is not quite as aggressive as my Absolute. Both are drilled with the pin under the ring finger. I was looking at either the Ultra or the Twisted I'm assuming the Ultra would be closer to what I'm looking for.

I would love to see them re release the Absolute I would buy another one in heartbeat.

Some testing by Brunswick revealed that the Sidewinder's ball motion is very close to the Absolute Inferno's reaction. Don't overlook the Sidewinder.

I also love the Vapor Zone, but it's more angular than my Absolute.
