Retro Line - What's Next?
« on: March 07, 2008, 08:01:17 AM »
Avalanches have already been a smash hit, offering premium coverstocks at lower pricepoints. So the obvious question... whats next? What would YOU like to see made in the retro line?

Personally, I'd like to see a comback of the PowrSurge coverstock, found primarily on the Combat Zones and WRW MVP. Pair it up with a Monster Red/Black core and you have a winner.

activator pearl with smashR/screamR mushroom core I loved those balls but a little more cover would be nice

When you say a little more cover, what exactly do you mean? If i remember correctly the Smash/R was PK 18 which is a stronger, earlier grabbing, cover than Activator Pearl.. Scream/R wasn't that N'Control?

On edit..
Just bring back the Zone Classic.. No tweaks!!! I'll take 3 boxes if they decide to release it again.. I won't mind having that argument with the wifey..

On another edit..
And i'm serious about the 3 boxes of Classics.. Hell i'll take 4 if i have too.. And throw in a box of Strike Zones.. While we're at it, can i get a box of Octane Gription covered Zone Classic cores??? Just for the hell of it.. And make it in the original Inferno fire colour and add some red colour like in the 'Nsane LevRG.. Call it the Hot Zone?

I would love to see both combat zones back as well as the speed zone vapor pearl.

I've got one of those in good shape, might just dig it out and roll it again..

SKC the "Hot Zone" I really like that name maybe Brunswick should do something like it. Then they could come out with a blue one called the "Cold Zone".

SKC, I saw a test ball in our proshop, no name but have a serial no. They said
it's another Classic Zone Intl ver. I guess bowlingball.com will have it later.
BTW, I want a Time Zone in the retro line.

Yeah an ice blue one like the Ice from Ebonite.. Just with more white pearl in it.. Maybe even a white pearl with a light blue colour like in the Arctic Fire plastic ball from Big B.. How you like "Chill Zone"? Lol..

Naaaah.. I don't want an Intl Vers.. I've tried pretty much every single one of the international Classic Wannabes.. None of them have come close to original..

I drilled a avalanche pearl rico and I love the reaction. Only have 2 games on it so we will see how I like it after I use it some more.

How about a new D2Z?  No changes, just like it was the first time.

Strong Midprice pearl. Take that ragin red cover and put it on a BVP ball. Better rampage with less squirt.
