Had to post and give my little brother some props. He just texted me about shooting 805 in his Monday night league. You die hard Brunswick guys will like this, he shot 267, 259, 279 with his 50 year old Brunswick Black Diamond! 32 out of 36 strike with a rubber ball. Wonder when the last time someome did that?Viva la nacion! How about those diamonds. War Les Badder!!

Doesn't really matter what ball that score was shot with, congrats to your brother.

With a ball like that there isn't a whole lot of room for error

Congrats to your brother!

Now have him take the ball to the pro shop, put it on the spinner, and hit it with some sandpaper... The stench will convince him to retire the ball, and the pro shop owner will GIVE him a brand new ball just to make it stop!

My brother says thanks. I still have 2 more Black Diamonds in the garage and my wife uses one for spares and no taps. Surprisingly they hook pretty hard off the spot when dry. Twenty years ago it hooked alot less so it must have something to do with the new syn and wood coatings. Trubador have a LT-48 also
and love it. notclay I started bowling in '76 and still remember rubber balls being drilled as a kid and whenn Mike Austin fix this one up and put a switch grip in it, it took me back to the good ole days of hanging out at the bowling alley with my dad during his 9:00 late leagues. I can't wait to punch up another one and resurface my Roto Star XR. I keep you posted on future scores we bowl sunday in our travel league at a semi dry house. May need to pull it out for second shift.
