Rico Rant!
« on: April 25, 2005, 01:42:48 PM »
Enough with the rico questions!!! Jesus christ, you'd think this drilling was the saviour from all the comments it gets! This reminds me of all the 315 degree drilling questions of about a year ago. Can we just move on from Rico? Or can we at least call it "5 inches from pap with pin in grip center" or just "standard drilling that was on many balls in the 80's when the pins were too short for exotic drills?"

I'M SICK OF RICO!!!

I like the IDIOT 1, that way it can cover more than just a single poster.

Or Whiner 1.

Or PITA 1.

Or Fill in the Blank 1, that way whoever needs a hug that day can use it.

No matter what the layout, someone will come on here and say, 'Ya know back in the day, I used that layout on a Black Beauty and my God it picked up the midlane. And then some genius put a weighthole in it and called his own-F**K'.

You guys want a rant, I'VE HAD SUGAR and Nick has seen that before it's UGLY.

It's one thing to have a layout named after you, it's another to know when to use it and how. Knowledge can be dangerous in the wrong hands or hand (get it-hand).

Everyone has there opinion, that is fine. If you don't like something in this section, go somewhere else. But I think it is hypocritical when you make posts in a forum that you don't even use that equipment.

If you don't like something, ignore it. I do it all the time. It's called LIFE.

The only reason it gets attention is because Nick started to use it, and for some reason people try to emulate nick in every aspect....

I agree, it's nothing new, at all.  It doesn't deserve so much attention...

You're right, when he started using sarge easter, EVERYONE wanted to use sarge easter. People still ask about it because of him and robert smith, they are probably the 2 single reasons people have even heard of it.

Sarge easter grip has been around for a long time before nick and robert smith used it.

Only difference is Robert Smith, or anyone before who has used the grip, never posted their input on BallReviews.

Nick's pretty much right about that.  Seems like some people who are getting SO offended by all this, haven't even realized, this topic is only referring to Ballreviews.

I have a plastic Rhino that I picked up from K-mart.  Will RICO1 work on this?

Search

Is the search option so hard to use?

On edit, qstick777, my post is not aiming at you, but to a million other Rico posts that have poped up recently!

But nobody ever explained to me what rico is.  Is it when you have the ring finger dropped so as to give more forward roll and less hook for high rpm players?  Would it go well with the sarge easter drilling, you know, the pin in palm one with the cg in the thumb postitive quadrant to induce a weighthole 6 3/4 inches from the pin?

I know, I was just "trying" to be funny!  I looked and it really is ridiculous how many posts there are asking about RICO1!

I don't have enough hand to need any special drillings, plus I'm not a nut-hugger like the rest **runs and hides**

Reminds me of the good ole days when I could count on this site to keep me entertained while acting like I'm working.  When somebody would say "Brunswick is the best ever" and 87 people would bash it while 87 more would praise it.  Everyone's been so nice lately.
