Title: Ruff Buff on a UI?
Post by: mugrad on June 14, 2005, 06:00:47 AM
I have an Ultimate that is rolling out way too fast on the conditions I see.  There's oil there - just not enough for this ball.  Before I decide to get rid of it, I'm thinking about applying some Ruff Buff to the ball to see if that will help.  Anyone else do this and how did it change the reaction of your UI?

the ultimate inferno comes from the factory wetsanded 800 grit. it's an aggressive reactive resin bowling ball. brunswicks rough buff is a rubbing and finishing compound. this will delay the hook but not to the extent that their polish would. the rough buff will keep the reaction more even arcing than skid/snap. if you need more length wetsand the ball to a finer grit---how fine ? this may call for some trial and error on your part. try wetsanding it to 2,000 grit. if this isn't enough add some of brunswicks factory finish high gloss polish. you'll get more length and a great backend reaction.
