i went to www.bowlingballreviews.com and looked under discontinued balls from brunswick technology ventures. i found a scarlet quantum----it's described as havind a deep, burgundy finish. is this the ball you are talking about ? if so, this would be a great ball for drier lanes as it has a conventional urethane coverstock matched with the familiar quantum weightblock.
