Nice video showing the different surface reaction changes on both balls.
Just a question though.
When you adjusted the surface to 4000, did you just go 4000 over box, or did you do lower grit first, then final finish at 4000? Same question for the 2000 grit surface too?
Thanks.

that Rhino is flippy even with a large VAL angle, been that way in every video

The surfaces were first oob, then hit with 4000 pad, then 2000 pad. Great question as the balls would have a much lower end grit if prepped with a lower grit first.
The Rhino uses Brunswick's Fortify Pearl Reactive cover and is very responsive to the dry. Even with the lower pins, they are very quick.

AWESOME VIDEO as always guys!!!!
Shows how much surface can make a difference. I adjusted my Scholar to 2000 just to get more use on my regular conditions vs OOB. Super happy I did. For tournaments would add shine back to it and leave the Intellect with surface.

Thanks Kid, we try :)
You must have a lot of oil to throw the Scholar at 2000 grit. This ball is so strong for a pearl. My sweet spot number for the Scholar is right at 5000 grit with no polish. This is using a scanner and bringing the ball up with 2000, then 4000 until I hit the 5000 mark. This surface gives me the most usability on the fresh and beginning of lane breakdown on the stuff I bowl on in my area.

Does anyone else thinks that the Rhino at 2000 kinda looses some energy? I felt that in the video if Jay moved just a little bit inside it would be leaving weak 10s

No it is a pretty normal THS but I want to start off in deep from where everyone else is playing and at box it was too long. It isn't fresh 2000 grit lol but it is enough to get the ball picking up sooner then box. For tournaments it will be shinned this was just to throw more now lol.

277, 279, 244 for an 800 on the nose last night with the Scholar in this video. This ball is a house killer the way it faces up to the pocket.
