Title: Scorchin Inferno
Post by: alex on March 19, 2006, 12:54:32 AM
Has anyone applied rough buff or polish to this ball? I can only use this ball for six or seven frames during the first game and thats it. I had it drilled leverage and it is just to much ball for my house and me.

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

The driller at our center drilled his pin right of ring, cg stacked, OOB. He applied ruff n buff on the 600 finish, and it's still a beast. It's a really strong ball, so even polished with a strong drilling it's going to move alot.

i applied rough buff on it and i'm never gonna do it again.  the ball went too long for me in med to heavy oil.  ended up playing more straight rather than hooking it.

I live in Louisville, and everyone polished there's, since we don't see much oil!!!!

Anyway, it was a Strike Zone-esque reaction, but way stronger on the backends.

I got one at the Brunswick booth in Corpus Christi. Asked about polish and was told it was better to change the surface with pads. went from 600 to 1000, I think and the works great. First set at home 192, 268, 255.

hey bigearv, whre exactly you bowl at? I live in louisville too, and in my leagues, the shot has enough oil for my scorchin. . .
